‘We are computer’ – 2012<\/p><\/div>\n

The technologist process of degeneration\/re-definition can be repeated until the medium dominates the image. The original message, almost lost, has become the medium.
\nWhat does the message in the medium say?
\nIt says:- “I distort, I corrupt myself, I can be easily altered by others, don\u2019t believe me, I\u2019m not dependable.”
\nThis is why there\u00a0is a bit of uncertainty and a little bit of deception in most of my work and that is the point.<\/p>\n

Some of what I do is still based on technologist ideas. I now use them to give shape to how I think about my work, because there are still some elements that I find interesting. But\u00a0I’ve\u00a0discovered that interesting ideas don\u2019t always look good and good ideas don\u2019t always look interesting.<\/p>\n

Perhaps ideas alone are only half the story and only half of something just\u00a0isn’t\u00a0going to work.\u00a0In the end painting is so much more than covering \u00a0an area with colour.\u00a0Isn’t\u00a0that called decorating?<\/p>\n
